Canadian Ski Conditions

December 12, 2004: Early conditions seem to pointing us towards a reasonably good season this year in Western Canada. For most of November, the Western US states got off to an epic start, but little of that snow came across the border.

Not to worry though, early December snow has definitely started to accumulate here in the Western provinces, to the point where most mountains are open with early season conditions.

One surprise is Mt. Washington, which started off with a very positive looking November, but has yet to open, mainly due to milder temps and heavy rain that washed a lot of their base away in the past couple weeks.
