Cypress Ski Report for Monday January 6, 2015
|Ughh… Our second day of 2015 up on Cypress and things were, well, not that great. The snow was actually pretty fun and rippable, but low overcast skies and an ever present mist made for challenging visibility.
We did our first run on Lions side through Collins, and even with first tracks the snow was already a bit too thin in spots, so we finished off the morning over on Eagle. Panorama – Windjammer and Jasey Jay’s were the best two runs on the mountain today, by a long shot. Looks like Lower Fork has opened too, but there were quite a few large dark patches, so didn’t bother with it.
All in all, probably the worst conditions weather-wise we’ve had so far this year, but the snow conditions actually made up for that a bit.
Forecast is looking pretty spring like for the next few days, and even the long range forecast is still just a bit too warm 🙁
